Bowel cancer treatment and side effects

ChrisLay

Surgery booked!!!

Post treatment scans show sigmoid tumour reduced considerably which is good but some rogue lymph nodes need to be removed, too.
Surgery booked for 4th April after numerous tests including CPEX on 22nd March.
Lots of scary feelings at the moment but reading all your different experiences and the support on this forum is very encouraging.
Thanks for being there!! xx
Update: Date of op changed to 11th April today by hospital

Hi @ChrisLay I too had a rectostigmoyd tumour. Try not to worry about your op, I reminded myself how lucky I was to be offered it and that got me through, I do have a temporary illeostomy atm. Sending best wishes. :x::x::x:

Great news about the reduction, and you’ll soon have it and those lymph nodes removed, then it’s onwards and upwards!!
Best wishes, Wendy :x::x:
