Covid19 has a lot to answer for let’s hope this programme has made awareness.:x:

still not sure how NHS came up with the logic that stopping treatment because Covid might compromise you, as opposed to stopping treatment that will then most likely have a massive affect on mortality, I think as time goes on the NHS and governments will have to learn about the massive mistakes they have made about how they reacted to this pandemic, and I know hindsight is a great thing, cheers john.:x::x:

Having had my treatment stopped and then told it wouldn't restart, I am glad this has been aired to raise awareness, despite finding it a hard watch and quite upsetting Px

Very sad watching, Panorama I’m sure lots of patients care been impacted and possible implications on recovery long term
covid impacted when hubby was in hospital for five weeks, his care was compromised I’m sure, as he was moved wards 17 times and Of course not being able to see him took its toll on both of us. It felt like Covid was priority but I could be very wrong, I know a lot of good work was done to get him through but can’t help but wonder in a different time pre covid how different the experiences for all of us would have been, and we will never know.
I know of many whose treatments were stopped or check ups put on hold and delays will go on for a long time with backlogs of scans etc
Let’s hope lessons learnt and things change for the better :x:

hi @Beatthis1982 @justhope @Poppies @terri m there has to be massive lessons learned from this, and things put in place from today to sort it out, and not to wait for reviews or inquiries it needs to start now. cheers john.:x::x:

Thanks @terri m . I do hope so @cyclingjohnny, I asked if I could have a scan to see what was happening, I was told if they requested one, it would likely have been refused at that time, but just had one. Px

Absolutely devastated after watching this. Tough viewing with my mum and dad - on reflection this was a bad idea!! Hope everyone’s ok. Very upsetting evening :x::x:

Sarah Morgan

Decided not to watch this as my husband’s treatment was stopped due to disease progression & Covid & he’s deteriorated significantly since mid April. Initially he was going to have re-challenge chemo after a 1 month break but this did not happen & he’s probably too poorly now with a life expectancy of only a few months. Thinking of all facing very difficult situations :x:

Hi @terri m , had MRI scan on 2nd of this month waiting CT scan that's on 20th at the Christie so hopefully get an anthor appointment with liver specialist x.

Sarah Morgan

@Aidy 15 03, glad you’re getting your scans & hope surgery is still an option for you :x::x:

Poppies

@Sarah Morgan, that’s beyond words, so sad to read about your husband. Sending love and hugs Px

jamtart

Maybe was a mistake to watch with other half as like @Sarah Morgan we have recently been told there is to be no more treatment. No idea of prognosis. Other half not well at the moment and slept through most of it.
Excellent presentation by Bowel Babe of some diffficult stories.

A very difficult programme to watch, but I suppose it will serve a purpose if it makes everyone - in need of treatment and screening and those able to push that along/support the system back into some ‘normality’ - take notice.

I am sorry to read your messages @Sarah Morgan and @jamtart and send lots of love and best wishes to you all :x::x::x::x:
