JCVI recommends that adults living with adults who are immunosuppressed should be prioritised for the COVID-19 vaccine

Hello everyone

We've been informed today that the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has recommended that people over 16 living with adults who are immunosuppressed should be prioritised for the COVID-19 vaccine alongside priority group 6.

The recommendation applies to people who are "over 16 and living with adults who have weakened immune systems, such as those on immunosuppressive treatment including chemotherapy.

Household contacts considered as a priority would be those over 16 who share living accommodation with adults who are immunosuppressed. The JCVI does not currently advise vaccination of household contacts of immunosuppressed children, or for household contacts who are under 16."

We haven't received any more information than this at present, but will be updating the vaccine advice page on our website asap and if there is any further details I'll share it here as well.
