Worried Daughters - update

We saw the specialist today and it looks like it's "stage 4" we won't know if it's spread until we have a PET scan, the specialist again was so positive and reassured us that there's lots they can do and in the 30 years he has been in this job, the medical world is much more advanced, we know there will be more visits, an operation but we feel positive

Before we went in we were all scared, but now we know what we are dealing with, we can now put a plan in place and continue this fight

From myself and sisters thank you for this group and the people as reading all the stories we know we are not alone

So glad that you all had a good meeting with the consultant and have more of an idea what you are dealing with. It is strange but once you have a plan you feel better because you are back in control.

When you know what the treatment is I'm sure there will be forum members who have had the treatment and will be able to answer questions from personal experience.

Yes we do feel better knowing and you are right we do feel more in control, we know its going to be a rough few months, but that's expected

We have been reading through people's journeys and it gives us hope

I'm glad you're feeling in a better place @AJ following the appointment! Isn't it strange how things feel much more manageable once you know what you're dealing with and have a plan! I'm sure you're having a better weekend that you'd anticipated. Please keep us posted if you can?

it's a relief knowing what we are facing, you are right it is strange on how your mindset changes.

We know the fight ahead is going to be hard but as long as we get our dad through this then it's worth it.
